The mission of the Salem VA Medical Center and clinics is to make a positive difference in the lives of the Veterans we serve by providing compassionate, comprehensive, and quality healthcare. The Salem VAMC is in the City of Salem and serves veterans throughout the state. This VA tertiary referral center is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services. Authorized beds include 182 general medical, surgical, and psychiatry; 90 Extended Care Rehabilitation Center; 26 Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (10 long term Substance Abuse).

Job Description

Physician – Anesthesiologist

Salem VA Medical Center - Salem, Virginia.

-Current staffing: 1 Chief, 5 CRNA’s

-2 Full-Time positions, 2.0 FTEE 

Practice Environment Description: As a Staff Anesthesiologist you will report to the Chief of Anesthesia who reports to the Chief of Surgery.

Highlights of this position include:

\n
• Potential starting base salary: $325,000 - $400,000                                                                        
\n
• Daily schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30pm, non-telework eligible, non-remote.
\n
• Additional night and weekend calls are distributed on an equitable basis with the other staff. By rotation, approximately once every 7 days.
\n
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery from any U.S. State
\n
• Open to evaluating current trainees and recent graduates, as well as non-citizens holding J1 or H1B visas.
\n

• Board certified or board eligible and BC/BE Anesthesiologist.
\n
