About the Position

Job Title: Observation MS/Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Must have experience in telemetry nursing. - Must be willing to float to other units based on skill set. - Must be able to work every other weekend or every weekend. Description: This position requires an Observation MS/Tele RN. The candidate will float between units as needed. On-call duty is not required. The expected patient ratios are 1:3 or 1:4. No special requirements for 48 hours are approved. The facility has a total of 418 staffed beds. Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable. Charting is done using the Epic system. Daily census averages around 20 patients. The unit provides care for adults and geriatric patients. Care includes management of cardiac telemetry and other acute conditions. The nurse will administer medications and manage various IV therapies. The position includes caring for patients with respiratory needs and post-operative care. Interdisciplinary support is provided by teams such as IV teams and rehabilitation services. The facility does not accept certain background check hits. Candidates must provide two references from the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.
