Job Opportunity

Position: RRT / CRT NICU

Location: City, State

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with NICU experience for a day shift role in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate must hold a current Louisiana license and possess the necessary certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality respiratory care to neonates in the NICU.
  • Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage respiratory interventions.
  • Utilize advanced respiratory support techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct assessments and interpret diagnostic tests related to respiratory function.
Requirements:
  • Current Louisiana License (required).
  • NRP Certification (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience preferred.
  • Must have travel experience.
  • Hold relevant certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, RRT (as appropriate).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience with various respiratory therapies and equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Knowledge in procedures such as intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy management.
  • Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Community Hospital.
  • Ability to assess and interpret arterial blood gases and vital signs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Additional Information:
  • Shift: 3x12-Hour (Day Shift 07:00 - 19:30).
  • Every Other Weekend Rotation required.
  • Floating to different areas within the hospital may be necessary.
  • Orientation includes three days; the first is virtual, while the remaining two are onsite.
  • Completion of mandatory modules is expected prior to start date.
