Assistant Restaurant General ManagerThe Assistant Restaurant General Manager (ARGM) supports the Restaurant General Manager and Market Leader in protecting and delivering the Church's Chicken brand. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, operational excellence, and profitability while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ARGM leads by example, upholds brand standards, develops team members, and ensures the restaurant operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.Essential Job FunctionsPeople Leadership & Team DevelopmentSupport the Restaurant General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and retaining high-performing restaurant team membersEnsure all employees are properly trained and certified according to current Church's Chicken training programsFoster a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, accountability, and employee engagementPromote a positive, service-oriented, and inclusive work environmentRecommend and administer corrective action, including coaching, discipline, suspension, and termination, in accordance with company policyLead and motivate a diverse team to achieve performance and development goalsAct as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Restaurant General ManagerDeliver the Ultimate Brand Experience to Everyone By:Execute Church's Chicken brand standards, policies, and operating procedures 100% of the timeEnsure consistent delivery of high-quality food and exceptional guest serviceMaintain restaurant facilities, equipment, and grounds to operational and safety standardsEnsure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and HACCP standardsPrepare for and respond to health inspections and internal auditsEnforce cleaning schedules, uniform standards, and appearance guidelinesEnsuring POP and signage is present and in the approved locationAchieve or exceed sales plan and build Customer Counts and Loyalty by:Assisting the RGM in identifying and communicating sales goals (daily, weekly, year over year)Ensuring the right people are in the right places according to projected / actual salesIncreasing customer count and check average, and maximizing capacity and customer valueSupport the RGM in identifying and executing Local Store Marketing opportunities to attract new customersStaying aware of local events; Understanding the store's current trade area and competitionExecuting speed (speed with a smile) and service standardsFlawlessly executing marketing promotions and campaignsAchieve or exceed profitability plan by:Maintaining staffing levels to actual salesComplying with labor lawsAccurately ordering and managing inventory to reduce waste and prevent theftEnsuring cash handling procedures and standards are in place and followedPerforming cash audits and addressing identified issuesExecuting safety and health standardsMinimizing R&M / Supplies and Services costs by managing service vendors efficientlyAchieving and communicating controllable cost targetsMay perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate.
