Haddy Pharmacy & Surgical Supplies Inc. is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and patient-focused  Supervising Pharmacist (SP)to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise pharmacy personnel, and maintain the highest standards of patient care and medication management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and experience managing compliance with New York State Board of Pharmacy regulations, Medicaid/Medicare requirements, third-party billing standards, and pharmacy workflow operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Supervising Pharmacist in accordance with applicable state regulations.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicaid, Medicare, PBM, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Supervise pharmacists, technicians, interns, and support staff.
• Maintain proper dispensing procedures and medication verification processes.
• Review pharmacy policies and implement compliance protocols.
• Oversee inventory management, controlled substance records, and audit preparedness.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and patient safety programs.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA requirements and confidentiality standards.
• Address clinical inquiries from patients and healthcare providers.
• Assist with staff training and continuing education efforts.
• Monitor billing practices and support audit compliance procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Pharmacist license in good standing (State of New York).
• Eligibility to serve as Supervising Pharmacist under state regulations.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with retail and/or community pharmacy management.

Preferred:

• Prior experience serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) or Supervising Pharmacist.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and compliance procedures.
• Experience with long-term care, specialty pharmacy, or independent pharmacy operations.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate:

• $75.00 per hour

Paid Time Off Benefits (PT Benefits):

• 2 Weeks Paid Vacation
• Vacation time begins accruing  after 90 days of employment
• 5 Paid Sick Days
• 3 Paid Personal Days
