Design Build Project Director Location: Overland Park, KS, US Company: Black & Veatch Corporation Job Summary Lead large Design Build/Service projects, managing risk, safety, cost, schedule, quality, and client relationships. Ensure day‑to‑day execution of contracted scope, drive financial performance, plan and schedule, maintain quality and contractual compliance, and deliver client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of large Design Build/Service projects, including risk mitigation and safety oversight. Lead day‑to‑day execution of contracted scopes with focus on performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Provide staffing solutions and lead large, multi‑discipline project teams. Co‑ordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities, integrating third‑party contributions. Develop and manage project budgets, invoices, and payments; lead project performance reviews. Engage with clients, represent Black & Veatch at client and community events, and lead marketing activities. Support business development through proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations. Qualifications 20+ years of experience in water/wastewater design and construction with demonstrated leadership. Professional Engineering License and bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Strong understanding of budgets, financial metrics, and contract negotiation. Proven record managing large multidisciplinary teams. Experience in the Texas market (preferred). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Certifications None specified.
