About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Counsel to provide expert legal advice and guidance on international trade transactions and requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the company's international trade operations are compliant and efficient. This role involves conducting in-depth, risk-based legal analyses of international trade issues, as well as daily collaboration with the Trade Compliance Manager. The Senior Trade Compliance Counsel will also serve as a liaison with US government regulators and proactively engage with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure trade compliance. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor law degree and a minimum of 6 years' of experience, with a preference for those with a background in international trade compliance, internal investigations, defense industry, US government, government contracts, and in-house legal experience. An active security clearance is also a preferred qualification. The role requires a candidate with extremely strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The Senior Trade Compliance Counsel will also have secondary responsibilities in supporting the Compliance Director with the company's compliance plan, including annual evaluations, risk assessments, and on-site compliance support for US-based operations.
