Surgery - General Physician Assistant

About the Opportunity

Neurosurgical Consultants of South Florida is seeking two experienced Physician Assistants (PAs) to join its neurosurgical practice in Delray Beach, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated providers interested in working alongside experienced neurosurgeons and providing high-quality care to patients with neurological and spinal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with neurosurgical and spine-related conditions.

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.

• Assist neurosurgeons with patient evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up care.

• Develop and implement appropriate patient care plans under physician direction.

• Order and interpret diagnostic studies as appropriate.

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

• Assist with procedures and surgeries as required.

• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

• Participate in ongoing patient management and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Current Florida Physician Assistant license in good standing.

• NCCPA certification preferred/required.

• Current DEA registration, as applicable.

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with neurosurgeons and the clinical team.

• Previous experience in neurosurgery, spine, orthopedics, surgery, or a related specialty is preferred.
