Melbourne, FL, US Position Summary Mid-Fla Heating & Air is seeking a motivated HVAC Helper to join our growing team. This entry‑level position supports our technicians and installers with residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects. The role offers hands‑on training and advancement opportunities for individuals interested in building a long‑term career in the HVAC trade. Key Responsibilities Assist HVAC technicians and installers with system installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Prepare and maintain job sites, ensuring all safety standards and company procedures are followed. Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment for each project. Help with ductwork fabrication, assembly, and sealing. Support testing, troubleshooting, and start‑up of HVAC systems. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and work areas in clean and organized condition. Follow direction from lead technicians and complete assigned tasks efficiently. Represent Mid‑Fla Heating & Air with professionalism and strong customer service. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn the HVAC trade. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying conditions (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, heat). Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills / Experience Prior experience or training in HVAC, construction, or a related trade (preferred but not required). Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
