Manufacturing Engineer

They are a global leader in IT infrastructure and data center solutions, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team in Simi Valley, CA. We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in metal fabrication manufacturing, including sheet metal fabrication, welding, bending/forming, stamping, punching, and assembly operations. This role will focus on driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across production operations Improve manufacturing processes using Value Stream Mapping and Six Sigma methodologies Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions Support fabrication operations including sheet metal, welding, stamping, punching, bending, finishing, and assembly Partner with Product Design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Lead equipment, facility, and capital improvement projects Analyze production metrics, capacities, labor requirements, and manufacturing costs Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions Support new product introductions and ECO/ECN activities Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and ergonomic requirements Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Strong experience in a metal fabrication environment Hands-on knowledge of: Sheet Metal Fabrication Welding Processes Press Brake / Bending Operations Metal Stamping & Punching Manufacturing Tooling & Fixtures Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement expertise Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred) Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Experience with ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to travel domestically up to 25%-50% Preferred Skills Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Value Stream Mapping Manufacturing Engineering Process Development Metal Fabrication Sheet Metal Welding Stamping Press Brake DFM Interested or know someone who would be a great fit?
