Cashier

Position Summary An Andretti Associate/Cashier is responsible for anticipating and exceeding guest service expectations while operating within the high standards of quality at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games. The role includes assisting guests, managing transactions, ensuring safety, and collaborating with other departments to create a fun and secure environment. Key Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly, urgent manner. Operate scanners, registers, and POS systems. Count cash at the beginning of shifts to ensure accurate drawers. Process payments accurately, handling cash, credit card, vouchers, and issuing receipts. Scan and input coupons, passes, and rental information. Verify guest ID information against waiver system. Assist with lane set‑up, shoe rental, ball selection, and bowling instructions. Schedule activity times according to company standards. Observe and enforce safety guidelines, providing instruction when needed. Handle guest recoveries and notify management to maintain positive experiences. Maintain clear and professional communication with guests and teammates. Collaborate as a team player to meet guest needs. Attend all mandatory department and company meetings and trainings. Keep the work area clean and compliant with company policies. Understand and apply facility emergency procedures. Perform opening, running, and closing duties for the department. Follow uniform guidelines. Demonstrate excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of guest service experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment settings. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work varied schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and electronic equipment. Strong orientation to detail and guest satisfaction. Capability to perform job duties in a fast‑paced, loud environment. Friendly, upbeat, and sociable demeanor throughout the shift. Physical Requirements Walk or stand for extended periods. Lift up to 30 lbs (initially) or 15 lbs on a regular basis; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Perform tasks that require bending, reaching, turning, climbing, and occasional stocking. Be able to communicate quickly and accurately. Operate equipment with manual dexterity. Work in bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds. Understand, follow, and maintain safety standards at all times.
