Job Title

Registered Nurse – Oncology (CAR-T Nurse Coordinator)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, Day Shift (shifts may vary between 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM based on clinic schedules) | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of CAR-T and immune effector cell therapy, including referral, evaluation, leukapheresis, bridging therapy, lymphodepletion, infusion, and post-treatment monitoring
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and caregivers throughout the treatment journey, providing education on treatment plans, potential toxicities, symptom reporting, and caregiver responsibilities
• Assess and triage patient symptoms, adverse events, and urgent clinical concerns, including management of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS)
• Ensure compliance with FACT, FDA, REMS, manufacturer, and institutional requirements; maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
• Act as a liaison among inpatient units, outpatient clinics, apheresis services, laboratories, pharmacy, external providers, and commercial CAR-T manufacturers
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, outcomes reporting, and program development activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be presented on the first day of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
• Working knowledge of malignant hematology
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• Prior experience in a CAR-T or cellular therapy coordination role
• Experience supporting regulatory audits and compliance programs in an oncology setting
