Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, full-time position with every other weekend requirement. Voluntary on-call available. May float to other units as needed during low census periods.

Requirements:

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS Certification from AHA (required)
• PALS Certification from AHA (required)
• TNCC or ATCN Certification (required)
• CPI/De-Escalation Certification (preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to emergency department patient populations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care within established timeframes
• Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Make evidence-based nursing decisions and modify care plans based on patient outcomes
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Document interventions and perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care delivery
• Demonstrate professional communication and respect for staff, physicians, patients, and families
