Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, full-time position with every other weekend requirement

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification from American Heart Association
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) Certification
• CPI/De-Escalation Certification preferred
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to emergency department patient care

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing priorities according to symptoms, age, and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
• Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient evaluation and outcomes
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Document timely interventions and evaluate care plan effectiveness
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures as needed
• Communicate clearly and appropriately with patients, families, staff, and physicians
