JOB TYPE Full‑time POSITION OVERVIEW We are searching for our next provider to work under the direction of the VP/Chief Medical Officer. In accordance with the medical profession, you will provide quality primary health care for a diverse community‑based patient population of various ages, educational backgrounds, and income levels. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide general physical examinations and make medical evaluations to diagnose and treat a variety of medical illnesses. Direct patient care in accordance with CentroMed’s approved scope of services. Analyze test findings and process all normal and abnormal lab results; administer appropriate treatment plans and prescribe medications as indicated by medical protocols. Promote health among patients by advising on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention. Document and chart all treatment modalities administered and preventive medicine prescribed in patients’ medical charts according to accepted protocols. Make referrals to specialists as necessary for treatment of medical conditions following guidelines established by the SVP/Chief Medical Officer and managed‑care contracts. Work as a member of the medical staff to implement objectives and Clinical Outcome measures; identify community medical issues and develop best treatment plans. Provide medical assistance to other physicians and mid‑level providers as needed or cover patients in the absence of their regular treating physician. Keep the SVP/Chief Medical Officer informed of trends and increases in the number of medical conditions reported by patients. Maintain current CME requirements for Texas license and board certification. Abide by infection‑control policies and procedures as dictated in the Centro del Barrio Infection Control Manual. Abide by policies and procedures on hazardous materials as dictated in the Employee Safety Manual. Participate in after‑hour care, including patient calls and hospital coverage; appropriately document such care. Participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program. Understand and uphold CentroMed’s mission and values concerning ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility, and objectives. Actively participate in maintaining high levels of excellent customer service internally and externally. Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by CentroMed. Ensure protection and security of all personal, confidential, and identifiable information; perform measures to prevent unauthorized disclosures, maintaining HIPAA standards. Assist in training new employees in performing their job duties as requested. Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Work must be performed on‑site as designated. Demonstrate competence in Family Medicine with patients aged 0 and older. Demonstrate competence in Internal Medicine with patients aged 18 and older. Preferred experience in outpatient health‑care clinic. Current Physician’s Permit, Controlled Substances Registration, and DEA certificate; eligibility for Federal Tort Claims Act medical liability coverage. Bilingual preferred.
