Job Description

Inventory Control Clerk

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk for a warehouse facility in Shawnee, KS. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring products are available to meet customer needs.

Pay: $18.50/hour
Location: Shawnee, KS
Hours: 6AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
Physically count product and verify quantities in the system
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Use RF scanners to track and manage inventory
Review and correct negative inventory reports
Work with internal teams to resolve stock location issues
Assist with order processing and order dropping functions as needed
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to determine freight carriers
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and report unsafe conditions

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Previous inventory control or warehouse experience preferred
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and math skills
10-key experience preferred
Experience with JDE or other warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
Ability to operate or become certified on an Order Picker / Cherry Picker
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
