Opportunity:


RN - PACU


Job Details:


• Work 9-hour day shifts with 72 hours per pay period
• Ability to work 8 or 9-hour shifts based on scheduling needs
• Call required approximately once every 2 weeks during weeknights with a 1-hour response time
• Weekend call required approximately once every 6 weeks
• No holiday call requirements
• Primarily Phase 1 PACU coverage with training available for Phase 2 if needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 in Phase 1
• Common cases include robotic prostatectomy, total knee/hip replacement, robotic hysterectomy, and bariatric procedures
• Must be able to understand and interpret irregular cardiac rhythms
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• May float to Post-op or Pre-op if trained
• Scrubs provided; respectable casual dress required to and from work
• Unit-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility


Facility:


This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a wide range of surgical and post-operative services. The PACU department consists of 34 beds and is supported by 2-3 CNAs, with respiratory therapy equipment brought to the department as needed. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system and maintains a collaborative care environment focused on patient safety and quality outcomes.
