Job Description
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - MED-SURG

Schedule:
Variable Shift - Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Availability for day or night shifts required.

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- Active State License required by the start of the assignment.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical or higher level of care.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and related medical equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other units as necessary, including surgical pediatrics or transitional care units.

Compliance / Notes:
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment.
- No requests for time off during holidays will be accepted.
- Professional nursing attire required; no specific scrub colors mandated. Closed-toe shoes are necessary.
