(AFJMc) , a full-service consulting engineering firm based in Shreveport, LA with over 55 years of industry experience. We're looking for a Structural Engineer to join our growing team and help us continue delivering high-quality design across commercial, industrial, governmental, and institutional projects.
The Role
Location: This position is based out of our Tyler, TX office .
As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for structural engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and light-gauge metal structures, as well as producing structural drawings for a diverse range of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and light-gauge metal systems
- Produce and review structural drawings and calculations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal design teams on project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering, or a comparable discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, ideally in Texas and/or Louisiana ; candidates holding an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification are also encouraged to apply
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with structural engineering analysis and design software preferred
