Enjoy the unique opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing diverse experiences while helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence and well-being!Why Choose Willow Valley Communities?At Willow Valley Communities, we invest in our team members and provide the support, benefits, and resources needed to thrive both professionally and personally.Opportunities with WVC:Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance with competitive premiumsGenerous PTO package plus an extra day off for your birthday!Tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunitiesTeam member events and recognition programsContinued career growth and education opportunities, including extensive dementia training from our dedicated Memory Care EducatorAccess to premier community amenities, including our fitness center, spa, cafés, and swimming poolsFlexible Scheduling Options:Full-TimePart-TimeWhat You'll DoAs a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:Model exceptional customer service while demonstrating care, compassion, and trust toward Team Members and Residents.Administer active and passive therapeutic treatments, including heat, light, sound, water, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ultraviolet, infrared, diathermy, and hot/cold pack therapies to improve and maintain function.Administer traction treatments to relieve neck and back pain.Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in functional activities, including pre-ambulation, transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living.Observe and evaluate patient performance during treatment sessions and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist.Fit, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces and prostheses.Educate and assist patients in mobility-related activities and the use of assistive devices such as crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and prostheses.Collaborate with physical therapy staff and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.Record treatment plans, patient responses, and progress in medical records.Educate patients and family members on continuing treatment procedures at home when indicated.Assist with ordering supplies and equipment.Participate in and support staff education, in-services, and training programs.Assist with orientation and mentorship of new Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and aides.Measure range of motion, body part length and girth, and vital signs to assist with patient evaluations.Work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, patients, and caregivers to achieve the best possible outcomes.Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.Apply knowledge of PPS, MDS, Medicare Part B, and applicable reimbursement systems.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards, ethics, and policies related to physical therapy practice.Attend meetings, seminars, and professional development activities.Complete clinical and billing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Address complaints and resolve concerns as directed by the Physical Therapist.QualificationsAssociate's Degree (A.A.) from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programComputer literacy requiredCurrent Pennsylvania Indirect Physical Therapy Assistant license requiredCompensationFull-Time & Part-Time: $31-$33/hourLocation Willow Valley Communities The Lakes and Manor Campus Willow Street & Lancaster, PennsylvaniaStart a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day.
