Teller

Lakewood, CO branch – Teller position focusing on daily customer transactions in the lobby and drive‑up locations while delivering excellent client service and fostering relationships. Duties and Responsibilities Provide client account services by processing deposits, loan payments, cashing checks, handling savings withdrawals, recording night and mail deposits, selling cashier’s checks, and redeeming savings bonds. Answer client questions in person and over the telephone. Process additional transactions such as preparing currency transaction reports and handling currency exchange. Identify cross‑sell and referral opportunities by informing clients of new services, assessing client needs, and directing them to appropriate banking representatives. Utilize 360View to record activities, incidents and referrals across all lines of business. Process consumer credit card applications. Complete special client requests including closing accounts, ordering checks, exchanging foreign currency, providing special statements or copies, and managing safe‑deposit box procedures. Reconcile cash drawer by verifying cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coin, managing excess cash and mutilated currency, and maintaining adequate cash supplies. Comply with bank operations and security procedures—including dual‑control functions, client traffic surveys, audit of teller currency, and certification of proof. Maintain client confidence by keeping information confidential and counseling others on potential security breaches. Enhance job knowledge by attending training sessions. Support client service and bank success by welcoming new or different requests and collaborating with team members to accomplish results. Demonstrate basic product knowledge and proficiency with client‑facing systems. Complete work accurately with minimal errors. Participate in volunteer activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Exceptional attention to detail. Education and experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Experience in a cash handling role preferred. Physical Demands and Working Environment Typical demands include frequently handling, hearing, and manipulating a computer keyboard and mouse; lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally; standing, sitting, and walking in a moderate noise environment. Standard compensation hours apply with occasional travel as needed. Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $19.25 to $25.93 per hour in CO.
