** Position Summary **

The Purchasing Coordinator supports the daily operations of a countertop fabrication facility by ensuring materials are accurately ordered, tracked, and available to meet production and installation schedules. Working closely with production, warehouse, vendors, and scheduling teams, this role manages purchasing activities, monitors inventory, resolves material issues, and maintains accurate records in SAP. Success in this role requires quickly learning countertop products, fabrication processes, production scheduling, and vendor relationships while proactively keeping projects on track.

** Essential Functions **

• Review upcoming production schedules to ensure materials are available for fabrication and installation.
• Verify job details in SAP, ensuring product selections, quantities, and materials are accurate.
• Create and manage purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory needs.
• Coordinate with vendors to procure countertop slabs, sinks, accessories, and fabrication materials.
• Track deliveries, inventory, and material availability while resolving shortages, delays, and discrepancies.
• Partner with production, warehouse, scheduling, and installation teams to support changing priorities and minimize production interruptions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and inventory data using SAP and Excel.
• Support inventory control and warehouse operations as needed.

** Required Qualifications **

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of purchasing, inventory, warehouse, production, or supply chain coordination experience.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing production needs, and follow through on deadlines.

** Preferred Qualifications **

• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Experience in countertop fabrication, stone, construction materials, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, production scheduling, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with stone, quartz, porcelain, or other countertop materials.

** Work Environment **

Office environment within a countertop slab fabrication facility with frequent collaboration across purchasing, production, warehouse, scheduling, and vendor partners. This role requires balancing proactive planning with day-to-day problem solving to support production schedules and customer commitments.

*** Salary $24.00-$26.00 hourly
