Position: Accounting Assistant
Job Objective:
Provide support to the accounting department by recording, monitoring, and analyzing the company's accounting and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record accounting journal entries for income, expenses, and general ledger transactions.
- Enter and verify invoices, receipts, and tax-related documents.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Organize and maintain up-to-date accounting and tax records.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Comply with the company's established policies and procedures.
Education:
- Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar position (preferred).
Knowledge:
- General accounting principles.
- Basic tax regulations.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Safeguard financial documentation.
- Meet reporting deadlines and complete assigned tasks on time.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Reports To:
- General Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy of accounting records.
- Timely completion of accounting closing activities.
- Timely submission of reports.
- Timely and accurate compliance with tax obligations.
