Front Desk Agent

Job Summary: As a Front Desk Agent at Fairfield by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel, you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a welcoming and seamless guest experience. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service through check-in/check-out processes, responding to guest inquiries, and ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.

- Greet and welcome guests promptly and professionally.
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently using the hotel's property management system (PMS).
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest requests and concerns with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Maintain accurate guest records and process payments accurately.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or escalate them to the appropriate department as needed.
- Follow Marriott brand standards and ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams to fulfill guest needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel operations.
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
- Prior front desk or hotel experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and basic office software; experience with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, FOSSE) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
