Full Time Adairsville, GA, Adairsville, GA, US 1 Attachments Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $62,500.00 Annually Position Summary The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing daily warehouse transportation activities through the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Yard Management System (YMS). This role oversees appointment scheduling, driver flow, dock door assignments, and yard operations to ensure the efficient movement of inbound and outbound shipments. The Scheduling Coordinator serves as the primary communication link between warehouse operations, carriers, and drivers, utilizing the YMS to assign dock doors, provide real-time instructions, and maintain visibility of trailer and yard activity. This position plays a critical role in maximizing dock utilization, reducing carrier wait times, and supporting safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Schedule and manage inbound and outbound transportation appointments through the TMS using the YMS. Coordinate dock door assignments using the YMS to optimize warehouse throughput and resource utilization. Monitor and manage trailer movements, yard inventory, and dock activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams. Provide real-time communication and instructions to drivers. Audit and maintain accurate transportation, yard, and appointment data. Monitor carrier performance and detention risks. Collaborate with warehouse operations and cross-functional teams. Maintain compliance with safety and security requirements. Generate operational reports and metrics. Assist with exception management and transportation disruptions. Support daily operational planning activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination. Experience with TMS and/or YMS as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations. Proficiency with warehouse systems and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Requirements Ability to work in warehouse and office environments. Frequent walking between office, dock, and yard areas. Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods. Fast-paced distribution and warehouse environment. Interaction with warehouse personnel, carriers, drivers, and customers. May require schedule flexibility to support operational requirements. Success Measures On-time appointment scheduling and adherence. Dock door utilization efficiently.
