Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Active Compact License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Required Must-Have: - Blood/Blood Products Administration - Cardioversion/Defibrillation - Obtain 12 Lead EKG - Syringe Pumps Description: Perm candidates of any facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor an active compact license. 2 years of experience required. Does not accept first-time travelers. On-call requirement: One weekday and one weekend per month (minimum requirement). Depending on staffing and vacation, hours can vary from 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, with additional days and weekends per month. Experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology is required. Special procedures may include vascular stent placement, biopsies, and other interventional procedures. Skills required include assisting with central line insertion/management, blood product administration, cardioversion, chest tube placement, and monitoring procedural sedation. Candidates should be prepared to float between nearby facilities as needed. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays each year. References covering 1 year (within the last 3 years) are required during the compliance process. Inflexibility with the contracted schedule may lead to contract termination.
