Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, grease, carbon, coolants, with several elements continuously present to the extent of being objectionable. Full-time position. May require overtime, on-call, and weekend hours. WHAT YOU’LL DO Independently troubleshoot problems and complete corrective actions on all electronic equipment including CNC equipment and programmable logic controllers. Complete all electrical testing. Prepare requisitions for all spare and repair parts as required for presentation to department head/activity leader/team leader. Assist and advise outside contractors on any and all work to be completed. Perform all general electrical repairs. Assist and advise Engineering and other support groups as required. Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork. Train and assist operators and other maintenance personnel as required. Perform necessary periodic maintenance on machines as required. Use various electrical testing devices, programming equipment and chemicals according to appropriate guidelines and procedures. Perform material handling activities using equipment, including forklifts, according to appropriate guidelines and procedures. Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process. Understands and performs work functions related to significant environment aspects located within a respective area. Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition. Wear all personal protective equipment as required by the safety policy. Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools. Understand and perform to the Quality Policy taking pride in the products produced. Perform other duties as assigned.
