HVAC Building Maintenance Technician

Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a HVAC Building Maintenance Technician for their IT Management Department. The right candidate will perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures to the D.R. Horton Corporate Office in Arlington, TX and the Basswood Data Center in Fort Worth, TX.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties could be assigned.

• Perform routine, repetitive daily inspections and maintenance necessary to the building's HVAC equipment.
• Assists and completes semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with the maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the D.R. Horton buildings.
• Assists and performs installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
• Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker board/chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items.
• Inspects properties and communicates with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
• Ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in safe conditions.
• Performs custodial duties as required.
• Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
• Facilitates weekly safety checks to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and eliminate all hazards.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC, preferably with VRF Other Qualifications Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license and be willing to travel. One-year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades and/or one-year experience in a warehouse distribution operation Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck and other related motorized equipment Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
