IT Operations Lead – Business Applications, ERP & Data Salary: $115,000 to $130,000 Bonus: Target incentive opportunity of approximately 10% to 15% Benefits: Comprehensive health, retirement, and paid time off programs About the Opportunity Ashton North is conducting a confidential search for an experienced IT Operations Lead to drive business applications, enterprise systems, data, and digital technology initiatives for a growing advanced manufacturing organization in the Cleveland area. This is not a traditional ERP Administrator position, and it is not an application support role. The person selected will serve as the primary technology partner for the business, ensuring that enterprise applications, ERP, e-commerce platforms, reporting, integrations, and business systems continue to evolve alongside the organization's rapid growth. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, not just responsibility. Someone who enjoys working directly with business leaders, identifying opportunities for improvement, and leveraging technology to create measurable business value. This role reports to the IT Director and works within a global matrix organization, partnering with infrastructure, cybersecurity, manufacturing, engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, customer service, and executive leadership. What You'll Do Serve as the technology lead for enterprise applications and business systems. Partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges and identify technology solutions that improve efficiency. Lead ERP enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. Support and improve e-commerce platforms and digital customer experiences. Drive reporting, business intelligence, dashboard development, and data visibility across the organization. Lead application integrations between ERP, CRM, manufacturing systems, finance, and other enterprise platforms. Coordinate application upgrades, testing, deployments, and business change management activities. Prioritize competing business requests while balancing corporate initiatives and operational priorities. Partner closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and manufacturing technology teams to ensure seamless technology delivery. Manage third party software vendors, implementation partners, and application support providers. Improve documentation, governance, business processes, and application reliability. Identify opportunities to automate workflows and simplify business processes through technology. Provide hands on leadership during major projects while remaining engaged with day to day business needs. Participate in occasional after hours or weekend work during major technology implementations or planned production downtime. The underlying position is responsible for coordinating technology initiatives across ERP, business applications, data, reporting, e-commerce, integrations, vendors, and cross functional business operations. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in any discipline, provided the candidate has meaningful professional IT experience. Approximately 8 or more years of progressive experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, business systems, or technology operations. Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other business critical environments. Experience partnering directly with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, and executive leadership. Broad understanding of ERP systems, business applications, reporting, integrations, and enterprise technology. Experience leading technology projects from concept through implementation. Strong analytical and business process improvement skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining ownership of outcomes. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions. A hands-on mindset with the curiosity to understand how the business operates before recommending technology changes. A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improving business performance through technology. Technology Environment Candidates do not need experience with every platform. Business partnership, sound judgment, and the ability to learn are more important than expertise with a specific technology. Relevant experience may include: Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Infor, QAD, IFS, or similar ERP platforms Business applications ERP administration and optimization Business Intelligence and reporting tools Power BI or similar analytics platforms SQL and data management Application integrations APIs and middleware E-commerce platforms Microsoft 365 Manufacturing systems CRM platforms Workflow automation Low code and no code platforms AI enabled business applications Experience with data analytics, application integrations, automation, APIs, AI, or modern business technology platforms would be particularly valuable but is not required.
