Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Perma-Pipe in Lebanon, TN (USA) is looking for an Entry-Level Receiving Clerk We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and receiving operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, documented, and stored to support production and customer requirements. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and innovation. Receiving & Inspection Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments from vendors, carriers, and delivery drivers. Verify part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices. Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or over-shipped materials to the appropriate team member. Ensure all received materials meet quality and documentation requirements before acceptance. Inventory & System Updates Accurately enter receiving transactions into inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems. Label and document incoming materials according to company procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and help resolve receiving discrepancies. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory audits. Material Handling & Organization Move and store received materials in designated warehouse, staging, or production locations. Organize inventory to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and accuracy. Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as authorized. Support material movement activities to maintain efficient workflow throughout the facility. Cross-Functional Support Partner with purchasing, inventory, production, and shipping teams to ensure smooth material flow. Communicate receiving issues, shortages, damages, or delivery concerns in a timely manner. Support production and operational needs by ensuring materials are received and available when required. Safety & Housekeeping Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving dock, warehouse, yard, and work areas. Follow all company safety procedures, material handling guidelines, and equipment operating requirements. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies. Assist in maintaining an organized work environment that promotes efficiency and workplace safety. Background and Education High School Diploma or GED preferred. Demonstrated Skills Strong communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions & Expectations Work may occur in an office or manufacturing environment.
