Industry Banking Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions Screening to lead the development and enhancement of its compliance framework. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and refining the institution's transaction monitoring, investigations, and sanctions compliance programs to ensure they meet regulatory expectations. This role requires a strategic leader who can design and implement robust monitoring and screening processes, continuously adapt to emerging financial crime risks, and maintain strong investigative and reporting capabilities. The Head will also be responsible for team management, program oversight, and serving as a key liaison for internal and external compliance activities. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial crimes compliance, with a focus on transaction monitoring, AML investigations, or sanctions compliance. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and a proven track record in program development within regulated financial institutions are essential. The role demands strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams. Experience with compliance technologies and industry certifications such as CAMS or CFCS are preferred. The Head will also be involved in training, risk assessment, and providing advisory support to ensure a culture of compliance and risk management is upheld across the organization.
