Paramedic

Role Overview: The Paramedic provides emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings, responding to calls, assessing patients, administering advanced life support, and transporting patients to medical facilities. Key Responsibilities Respond to emergency calls, evaluate patient conditions, and determine appropriate interventions. Safely transport and monitor patients during transit, providing necessary care. Administer advanced life support procedures, including airway management, IV therapy, defibrillation, and medication administration. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, emergency responders, and healthcare teams. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and responses. Ensure emergency vehicles and equipment are clean, ready, and functional. Educate and reassure patients and families during crises. Follow legal, ethical, and safety protocols, maintaining professionalism under pressure. Interpret medical instructions and perform patient lifting/moving in challenging environments. Engage in ongoing education to stay current with protocols and skills. Qualifications & Skills Current NYS Licensed Paramedic certification. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA credentials within 3 months if not already held). Valid driver’s license. Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment in various environments. Preferred Experience At least 3 years in 911 and inter-facility transport, with critical care transport experience considered a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
