Steel Erection Superintendent

Job Description

Location: Abilene, TX

Pay: $38-$40 per hour

Duration: 2-Year Project

We are seeking an experienced Steel Erection Superintendent to oversee field operations on a long-term steel erection project in Abilene, Texas . This position offers steady work for the duration of the project and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities:

Manage all field activities related to steel erection
Supervise crews, foremen, and crane operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site safety requirements
Plan and coordinate erection sequencing, crane picks, and manpower
Review and interpret structural drawings, erection plans, and lift plans
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety standards
Coordinate with project management and other trades
Track progress, productivity, and field issues

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience supervising steel erection work
Strong understanding of structural steel erection, rigging, and crane operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
OSHA 30 preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to commit to the full 2-year project

Compensation:

$38-$40 per hour, depending on experience
Consistent hours
Long-term project stability
