Welder/ Fabricator (Shop) Location: Ashland, VA Pay: Based on experience and skill level Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available) Description:
- We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator for a full-time, shop-based role focused on fabricating miscellaneous parts and structural frames. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on welding experience who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum 2 years of welding/fabrication experience
- Ability to read and follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
- Strong understanding of welding techniques and basic metallurgy
- Ability to plan work and select appropriate tools and equipment
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Measure, layout, and fit parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Cut materials using saws, ironworkers, and other metalworking equipment
- Prepare components for welding using grinders, sanders, and related tools
- Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Determine proper welding methods and equipment based on materials and requirements
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and finished products
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Full-time: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available)
