As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge and visitor access, and help support a welcoming, security‑related environment for patients, staff, and guests. This role combines technology, communication, and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity at the center of each interaction. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime Wed 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Thu 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, access control protocols, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help manage authorized access, verify credentials and/or visitor permissions, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site guidelines. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with hospital personnel, visitors, and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help identify security‑related concerns, access issues, and/or conditions that may require follow‑up. Document incidents, visitor activity, and access control events accurately and promptly, and share relevant information with supervisors and/or site contacts in accordance with post procedures. Minimum Requirements: Security‑related experience of 1 or more years is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
