Hematology/Oncology Locum Tenens Coverage

All Star Healthcare is representing a facility in Connecticut seeking Hematology/Oncology locum tenens coverage. Assignment details include a 3-month maternity leave from September to December 2026. Providers must be local with mileage reimbursement only.

Practice setting includes a schedule of four days outpatient Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with clinic hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call responsibilities are included.

Call schedule is a 1:3 rotation with weeknight call and weekend call from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM.

Patient population primarily includes adult and geriatric patients. Case mix is 60% hematology, 40% oncology, and 0% internal medicine.

Clinical responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient hematology and oncology care, participation in tumor board, ordering tests and imaging, and prescribing treatments.

Practice details include a physician team of three physicians (one on maternity leave), two advanced practice providers, on-site radiation oncology, and an average daily volume of 15-16 outpatient patients and 1-5 inpatient patients.

Facility information includes a Level II trauma center, EPIC EMR, and chemotherapy administration managed by oncology nursing staff.
