Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)

Overview We are looking for an integral and hands‑on Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) to be filled at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord, WA, to support our military client. The REM will assist the installation in achieving a robust energy management program by accomplishing actions/projects in accordance with energy laws, regulations, policies, and directives. The REM will develop and implement actions/projects supporting facility maintenance, repair, and construction activities, providing design review comments; offering project and program management support; identifying energy‑savings projects; coordinating construction and oversight; and ensuring energy‑efficiency and water‑conservation measures are incorporated into all actions. The REM will support planning, development, execution, and analysis across multiple energy programs. The role requires promotion, education, and adoption of energy- and water-resource conservation and management practices to optimize utility resource use. Responsibilities Provide a wide spectrum of energy engineering and energy management functions Support facility repair and construction activities Provide design review comments Provide project management support Identify energy‑savings projects Conduct energy audits Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess one of the following combinations of education and experience: A four‑year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management. An Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management. A two‑year technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management. No college degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management. Clearance Active T1 Background Clearance is required. Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by the client.
