Allure Counseling Center in Riverside, California, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team. This full-time remote position focuses on delivering specialized mental health care to individuals who have faced trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a remote setting, facilitating the provision of therapy through virtual platforms. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet the dynamic needs of our patients, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our collaborative approach encourages our therapists to engage with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring holistic care and seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate patients' histories and needs.
- Design and implement evidence-based individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery.
- Utilize specialized therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in one-on-one and group therapy settings.
- Provide crisis intervention strategies and immediate support to patients faced with trauma-related crises or emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to coordinate care effectively, sharing insights and strategies for enhancing patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Engage in regular team meetings, participate in case consultations, and stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this role is on individuals dealing with trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The therapist will work closely with a diverse clientele who may experience a variety of challenges impacted by their traumatic experiences. By providing tailored therapeutic interventions, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in processing their trauma and building resilience.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Solid skill set in utilizing EHR systems for documentation and management of client care.
Preferred Experience
2 years of experience in a clinical setting treating patients with trauma-informed care methodologies is highly desirable. Familiarity with contemporary practices and approaches related to trauma therapy will be beneficial in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
