NOW HIRING –HOSPITAL COOK (COLD SIDE)
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Pay: $17/hour
Shift: 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
Schedule: Flexible days
Join the Arete team and take the next step in your career! We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Cold Side Cook to support our client by preparing fresh, high-quality food in a professional kitchen environment.
️ What You'll Do:
Prepare salads, cold foods, sandwiches, fruits, and other cold-side menu items
Follow recipes and portion-control guidelines
Prepare ingredients for daily meal service
Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food safety procedures
Keep food preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitary
Assist the kitchen team with additional duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
Reliable and dependable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
Ability to follow recipes and instructions
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
Must be able to pass required pre-employment screening
