This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry. The position emphasizes patient safety, workflow coordination, and supporting high-quality surgical outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Job Details Position: Operating Room (OR) Nurse Specialty: OR Shift: Days, 12 hours shift, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, with call required, holidays required Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current CPR certification (BLS), ACLS preferred; active nursing license; 2 years of OR experience in general, orthopedic, gynecology, robotics, urology, hand, or podiatry surgical specialties; valid fingerprints as per New Mexico regulations Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multiple surgical specialties, strong clinical judgment, adaptability, excellent teamwork skills Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, sterile field support, equipment and supply management, medication administration, specimen handling, and coordination within surgical teams. The circulating nurse is responsible for patient safety, workflow, and regulatory compliance during surgical procedures. No floating required Submission Requirements: Candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting to qualify.
