Licensed Health Aide

Health Services AdministratorTo administer and deliver health services to each student and create a climate of health and well-being on the assigned campus.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:Responds to all internal and external customers, as it relates to the position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient mannerSets up student health records and emergency cardsReviews all student records for any health needsOrders and maintains school health and first aid suppliesOrganizes and helps with all screening programs for vision, hearing, scoliosis, lice checks, and immunizationsPrepares re-screen listsRecords and updates individual student records on screenings, immunizations, etc.Administers daily prescription and over-the-counter medications to students in accordance with school board policy under the supervision of the school administrator and maintains accurate records of medication givenMaintains daily log of all students seen in the health officeCompletes accident reports clearly and concisely for all accidentsSupervises enrollment of students with regard to proper immunization historyScreens all new students for vision, hearing, and immunization historyAdministers first aid as neededDuplicates and distributes educational and instructional materials on healthProvides hygiene-related demonstrations and services in the classroom as neededNotifies principal in any and all emergenciesNotifies principal of any situation that might be considered child abuse or neglectCompiles periodic and year-end reports for state and districtMaintains knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rulesPerforms related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent mannerThis job description is not a comprehensive listing of duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee for this job. The employee will work ten hours per day Monday through Thursday. Extended work hours may occasionally be required.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentRequired Certifications/Licenses for AIDE/EMT/PARAMEDICCurrent Emergency Medical Technician license/certificate (to be maintained) ORCurrent Paramedic license (to be maintained) ORCurrent CNA, LNA, LPN, LVN license or certificate (to be maintained)Work Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
