Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist – Louisville, Kentucky TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Louisville, Kentucky. Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hour nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating the fluoroscopic equipment and assisting the physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. IR Techs are also responsible for preparing and observing the patients undergoing the procedure and reporting abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients while providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patients during all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to assure adequate safeguards are maintained. Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to procedures and interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Must have 1 year of recent acute care experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification. State-specific licensing required when applicable. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Show sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Additional Certification : BLS, ARRT (VI), 2 years. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Compensation Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
