Job Description The Civil Rights Compliance Office has an outstanding opportunity for a Compliance Project Manager (12 month project) to join their team. Compliance and Risk Services (CRS) serves the University, its mission, and its community by providing enterprise-wide leadership and professional expertise and services relating to key compliance areas and risk management. The Civil Rights Compliance Office within CRS is responsible for compliance with civil rights laws and University policy. Federal and state laws collectively prohibit discrimination based on protected characteristics, including age, citizenship, disability, national origin or shared ancestry, race, sex, gender, veteran status, and more. The Compliance Project Manager provides advanced, non-routine compliance analysis and operational leadership for the Civil Rights Compliance Office (CRC). The position independently plans, conducts, and evaluates complex compliance reviews, audits, and program assessments that shape CRC’s compliance strategy, strengthen institutional controls, and improve operational outcomes. The Analyst conducts data and process analyses; develops dashboards, performance metrics, and public‑facing compliance reports; and delivers consultative, decision‑ready recommendations that inform CRC leadership’s priorities, resource allocation, daily operations, and long‑range planning. The Compliance Project Manager’s primary responsibilities include analytical, audit, and programmatic support for: High‑level compliance initiatives, where regulatory analysis, audit results, evidence‑based insights, and documentation of analysis are necessary for informed institutional decision making Compliance data generation, monitoring, and reporting for unit, program, and enterprise‑level stakeholders, including senior and executive leaders, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with regulatory expectations Development of compliance guidance, and communications, translating regulatory requirements, audit findings, and data insights into practical operational direction for units and campus partners Strategic compliance projects and initiatives overseen by CRC leadership that require cross‑functional coordination, analytical rigor, and structured project execution to improve institutional compliance posture The Compliance Project Manager also manages critical compliance workflows and monitoring systems across key CRC programs including components of the ADA program, data governance and reporting infrastructure, and records and hearings support ensuring operational reliability, audit readiness, and institutional compliance. The role reports to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Civil Rights Compliance, with day‑to‑day prioritization coordinated with designated program leads.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Operations, Analysis & Administration Manage compliance workflows, reviews, and operational processes for initiatives assigned by the AVP for Civil Rights Compliance and designated CRC program leads Coordinate key components of the ADA compliance program, including accessibility assessments, data analysis, audit support, and documentation of disability access activities Provide program‑level analytical guidance and coordination for CRC’s compliance data, including data synthesis, formatting, design, publication, and distribution of compliance‑related reports, in collaboration with current CRC data‑ and project‑focused staff Develop, maintain, and analyze dashboards; conduct monthly, biannual, and annual compliance reporting from CRC databases to inform trend analysis, risk identification, and institutional decision making Support compliance review and audit readiness activities by preparing documentation, ensuring accurate records management, and maintaining standardized data practices Provide technical assistance, analytical support, and operational guidance at the direction of the AVP for Civil Rights Compliance Project Management Independently plan, prioritize, and manage short‑ and long‑term compliance projects and assessments in collaboration with stakeholders, including projects involving documentation review, data analysis, records retention, reporting, and compliance monitoring requirements Oversee compliance‑related projects supporting investigations, intake & support, ADA, Title VI, Title IX and other CRC and CRS initiatives Manage multilevel projects that strengthen the University’s compliance posture, mitigate institutional risk, and advance strategic priorities overseen by the AVP for Civil Rights Compliance Assess CRC annual work plan goals, monitor deliverables, and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and required actions to leadership and stakeholders Provide analytical and operational support to coordinators, directors, and program leads who oversee high‑level compliance initiatives, governance bodies, committees, and workgroups Manage project execution including charter development, agenda creation, document compilation, presentation development, scheduling and logistics, materials preparation, and meeting documentation Perform additional compliance responsibilities and lead special projects that support CRC’s operational effectiveness, audit readiness, and continuous improvement in institutional civil rights complianceMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences, information systems, law, or a related field and 4 years of progressively responsible experience performing compliance analysis, audit support, program evaluation, data analysis, policy interpretation, or similar work in a regulatory, compliance, higher education, public sector, or complex organizational environment education. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Additional Requirements Demonstrated experience analyzing data, evaluating processes, and preparing reports, summaries, or recommendations for leadership or stakeholders Experience managing multiple projects or operational workflows with competing deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences Ability to analyze complex data and operational challenges, apply critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, and make informed, independent professional judgments Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and maintaining effective working relationships in a cross‑functional environmentDESIRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience in compliance, civil rights, ADA/accessibility, investigations, internal audit, program evaluation, or risk management Experience in higher education, public institutions, or highly regulated environments Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, or data‑driven reports; familiarity with records management, documentation standards, or audit readiness practices Demonstrated experience supporting governance groups, committees, or cross‑campus workgroups Experience with database systems, case management systems, or compliance tracking platforms Training, certification, or coursework in compliance, auditing, accessibility, or related areas (e.g., CCEP, Certified Internal Auditor, ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program) Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum $70,308.00 annual Pay Range Maximum $85,008.00 annual Other Compensation - Benefits For information about benefits for this position, visit Shift First Shift (United States of America) Temporary or Regular?
