Occupational Health Physician

Job Overview Valor has expanded from the public sector into occupational clinics for the private sector, partnering with leading automakers such as Stellantis. We assist employers with work‑related health needs, focusing on injury prevention and treatment, ergonomic evaluations, holistic wellness, safety education, and drug‑free workplace programs to reduce accidents and keep employees healthy. Hours: Monday and Wednesday 7:00 am‑4:00 pm Responsibilities and Qualifications The on‑site occupational provider must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of assignment, preferably board‑certified in Occupational Medicine or on the path toward certification with three years of experience in the field. Each provider serves as the leader of their respective medical department. Must be knowledgeable in OSHA record keeping and compliance. Must manage disability and workers’ compensation cases. Must be able to respond to emergencies anywhere on the plant premises and participate in emergency drills. Provide advisory and consulting services to plant management, chief physician, and corporate medical operations, assisting Stellantis in occupational medicine services. Administer first‑aid and emergency care for employees, contract employees, and visitors. Provide care for occupational illness and injury. Assess and refer cases beyond minor occupational illness or injury in accordance with workers’ compensation and regulations. Offer limited supportive care and/or referral for non‑occupational medical conditions. Conduct medical examinations: pre‑placement physicals, transfers, fitness, return‑to‑work, termination, and temporary/permanent disability determinations. Perform medical examinations or tests for monitoring occupational exposures. Provide medical status evaluations to assist in the case management of compensable illness or injury claimants. Assist in the case management of employees on extended (non‑occupational) sickness disability leave. Offer assistance and advisory services to wellbeing, health & safety (WHS), and managerial personnel. Administer immunizations. Conduct epidemiological surveillance, reporting clusters or patterns of illnesses or risks promptly; participate in special health studies or trend analysis arranged by plant or corporate medical operations. Coordinate with third‑party vendors offering wellness and health promotion services to improve program efficacy. Perform other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
