Senior Manager, Laboratory Design & Space Planning

Senior Manager position responsible for establishing and evolving Pfizer's global laboratory design and space-planning standards. The role translates R&D priorities into optimized laboratory environments while managing master planning, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery across multiple research sites.
Responsibilities
- Engage R&D leaders and scientists to program laboratory, support, and office spaces aligned with evolving portfolio requirements
- Own, maintain, and evolve Pfizer's global laboratory planning and design standards
- Support master planning, demand forecasting, and utilization analytics to inform capital investment decisions
- Serve as primary liaison among scientists, architects, engineers, and planners for laboratory design initiatives
- Manage multiple concurrent small projects and provide design/construction oversight through occupancy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, scientific discipline, or related built-environment field
- Demonstrated expertise in laboratory space programming and design standards development
- Experience translating scientific requirements into practical facility solutions
- Proficiency with CAFM/IWMS systems (e.g., TRIRIGA) and space utilization analytics
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and project delivery experience
- Knowledge of EHS, sustainability, and inclusive design principles in laboratory environments
