Job Description:

• The Cloud Architect should create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Cloud:
• Configure and manage MLP's Virtual Network in Cloud, establish our core services in the VNET, enable Cloud to serve as a part of MLP's network
• Design processes for the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations
• Utilize native Cloud services to meet the firm's technology and resiliency requirements
• Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Cloud
• Lead design process for network connectivity to Cloud
• Extend MLP standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem management
• Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management
• Establish internal pricing and instance selection model for Cloud virtual machines
• Integrate Cloud management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvals
• Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Cloud

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Support.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience supporting enterprise caching technologies, including Redis Cloud, Valkey, or Memorystore.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native services in Azure and GCP.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and caching architectures.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts, including:
• Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
• Google Cloud VPC Networks
• Load Balancers
• DNS
• Firewall Rules
• Private Endpoints
• Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
