You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will needSetting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe useHelping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devicesActing quickly and confidently if an emergency happensKeeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practicesSpeaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rightsQualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentEmployee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).Preferred: prior anesthesia technician experience in a hospital settingMinimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: NoneBenefitsMethodist Hospital Stone Oak offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
