Job Summary Bachelor's degree (English, Marketing/Communications or related field preferred) 3+ years of experience Location: Boston, Massachusetts Job type: Contract Salary: $59 - $60 per hour Work hours: 8am to 5pm Education: Bachelors Responsibilities Use strong writing and editing skills to communicate clearly and effectively across audiences and formats. Pair strong writing skills with a working knowledge of employee retirement plan and health & welfare plan fundamentals. Partner with technical consultants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity when drafting legally required documents under ERISA. Draft Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other technically-detailed benefit communications that explain complex concepts in clear, employee-friendly language. Structure documents like SPDs and benefit guides so information is logically organized, clearly labeled, and modular, enabling employees to quickly locate answers or extract sections for explanation using AI tools. Bring a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Manage multiple priorities and work across teams, staying organized and adaptable in fast-paced, client-facing settings.
