We are seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled IT Help Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support to end users. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and user account issues while ensuring timely resolution of support requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and related equipment.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, and common business software.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts, passwords, and permissions using Active Directory or similar identity management tools.
• Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
• Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures in the ticketing system.
• Assist with workstation deployments, upgrades, and equipment inventory management.
• Educate users on technology best practices and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional, courteous, and timely service.
• Participate in IT projects, system rollouts, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting desktop hardware, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and a positive, team-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar industry certifications.
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune or SCCM.
• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles and endpoint security solutions.
• Experience supporting hybrid or remote work environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
