Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, with call and holiday coverage requirements.

Details

• Cath Lab unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Call requirements include one weekend and 4–6 call days per 6-week schedule
• Weekends are included in call rotation
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Active professional licensure must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred — some units require two on file for review

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule modifications are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them — no holiday RTO will be approved
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to determine fit prior to manager review
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
