J Controller — Multi-Entity Accounting & Finance Leader Columbus, GA (in-office)|Full-Time|$65,000–$100,000/year, DOE About the Role We're a growing multi-entity business — Jan-Pro Development (commercial cleaning franchise), Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, and a small real estate portfolio — looking for an experienced Controller to own our day-to-day financial operations and grow into an expanded financial leadership role as we scale. This isn't an entry-level accounting seat. We need someone who can run the monthly close independently, manage compliance across multiple entities, and start bringing strategic financial thinking to the table — cash flow forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial input on growth decisions. What You'll Own Monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across three entities Franchise compliance reporting (BAR, royalty, FDD) for Jan-Pro Cash flow forecasting and budgeting to support ownership decisions Executive dashboards and KPI reporting (revenue, margin, retention, A/R aging) Liaison with external CPA firm on tax planning and year-end reporting Light exposure to real estate accounting (mortgage/lease reconciliation, CapEx tracking) What We\'re Looking For 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred, not required Proven ability to independently run a close process — not just support one Experience with forecasting/budgeting, not just historical reporting Multi-entity or franchise experience a strong plus QuickBooks and strong Excel skills Why Join Direct partnership with ownership — real influence on financial decisions Clear growth path toward expanded financial leadership as the company scales 401(k), health/dental/vision, PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr
